FAQs on bath and shower products
How do I make the most of my soak in the bath?
That all depends on what you want from it! If what you’re asking is “Which products will give me the most relaxed bath and shower experience?”, then look for bubble baths and bath oils which contain lavender, chamomile, jasmine or ylang ylang, which all have calming properties. If, on the other hand, a great bath to you means one which leaves you feeling soft all over, then choose bath products with hydrating botanical oils such as olive oil, or add some epsom salts. And if you want to step out of the bath looking more radiant than ever before, treat yourself to an exfoliating body scrub to refresh and revitalize your skin.
What is the benefit of salt in my bath?
Bathing in sea salt and bathing in epsom salt both can enhance your skin and your overall well-being, but in different ways. Sea salts, including Dead Sea salts, have an antibacterial effect and help to detoxify your skin. They can dry up excess oil too, making them useful for treating body acne. Epsom salt on the other hand isn’t actually salt! It’s magnesium sulfate, a mineral with excellent anti-inflammatory properties which makes it great for relieving muscle pain after a gym session, or soothing itchy or sunburnt skin.
Are there any benefits of a bath over a shower?
In the shower, whatever product you put on your skin is quickly washed off. That’s fine if you’re using cleansing shower gels or exfoliating scrubs, but if you want something to really sink into your skin (for example, to deeply hydrate it) then you’re better off taking a bath. There, you can enjoy a nice, long soak while the ingredients in your bath products work their magic on every inch of your skin that’s under water. Bathing also has a more relaxing effect on the mind, so running yourself a deep, foamy bath with lavender bath oil can be a great way to destress after a challenging day at work, or set you up for a great night’s sleep.
